I.....can't.....get this....out of my head!

I saw it this afternoon and I'm tempted to see it in theaters again. It was everything it promised to be and then some.

True story.

I don't know why, but the movie didn't make my dick explode. It was good - a solid flick and that was pretty much all I was hoping for. Maybe it's just because I was more tired of The Simpsons than I realised? Who knows!

The "Spider-Pig" song was brilliant though. It just was. And there were admittedly a good handful of moments wherein I found myself laughing out loud (which I don't do often during movies, for whatever raeson). True story!

Oh, I should mention though that Bart's genitals blew my mind. I mean, there's unexpected - and then there's that. It took me a little while to regain my composure.

See, maybe it's because I hadn't been watching it hardly at all for three years...then in the two weeks before the movie I watched a pile of episodes from the newest seasons to wet my whistle - all of which I rather enjoyed, I think we all need to get over the early teen seasons where things wobbled due to Family Guy damage control. I think I was pretty primed for it (the movie).

Also, yes - BART'S DINGLE. That, amongst plenty of other moments, was one of those strange things they got into the movie which they could never do in the series...which oddly never felt like the kind of South Park or Family Guy censor baiting which we've all grown so used to. The one of those moments which really made me let out a loud sound (I'll let you guess which one) was when the Mayor declares Code: Black, then Lenny says "OH NO! That's the worst colour!" leans over to Carl "Sorry Carl"

Carl: "Don't worry, I get it all the time"

I AM PAID TO LEAD, NOT TO READ.

But yeah, don't get me wrong - it was a solid film. I can't find any real complaints with it, nor do I actually want to. It was pretty damn funny in that when I wasn't laughing, I was chuckling, and when I wasn't chuckling, I was smiling. It had a decent enough story to boot?

And I haven't watched the show for years and years now myself. Maybe it's simply because I felt so much of it was played out (such as Marge being so mad at Homer that she is leaving him this time for serious). But I don't want to complain too much because it's going to make me sound like some sort of cantankerous coot when in reality I did enjoy the flick! It just didn't have much of a lasting impression on me, outside of that damn wonderful song (specifically the slow, opera version).
