Newz you cannot possibly Uze(z)

I just tried a new, more arduous form of sit-up and it made me have to poop. I like that I felt more of that marvelous "burn", I wasn't so keen on being made to feel like a human roll of toothpaste.

Just sayin'!

Hahaha...I can probably describe it quicker.

I lay on my back with my knees arched so that my feet still lay flat on the foor. Then, instead of reaching forward to touch my knees, I crossed my arms not unlike a vampire rising out of it's casket.

Then I bent forward and tried to bring my chin as close to my knees as possible. It felt brutally difficult compared to the generic sit-ups I'd been doing...then halfway through I was like "Uh oh, now I gotta...naw, I'll just tough it out and go after I'm done this".

But near the end of my second set I just had to stop becuase I was making myself have to poop more and more with each repitition.

What left my laughing at myself quite hard was that even though I was pushing myself close and closer to shitting on my floor - I'd got locked in a kind of work out trance, so things got perilously close before a part of mind was able to snap me out of it by basically yelling "OKAY OLIVER THIS IS PRETTY GOOD THAT YOU ARE FIGHITiNG OFFICE WORKERS BELLY BUT MAYBE YOU SHOULDN'T SHIT YOURSELF. MAYBE THAT WOULD BE BAD".

FYI, buddy, that sit up doesn't sound too productive, even if it didn't make you crap your pants. 'Regular' sit ups like you mention work your upper abs. The type of sit up you're doing is working both your upper abs and lower back - but necessarily in a good way as you are rolling your back to complete the exercise, which is never a good thing. Back: always straight.

My suggestion is doing a "bicycle kick" ab exercise. Lie on the ground, legs intially at a 90 degree angle but then with your knees bent and perpendicular to the floor (think of a chair lying flat on the floor). Then kick your right leg out, your left knee will come closer to you. With your right elbow, touch that left knee. Do the same with the next leg. Do about 24, doing two sets, twice a week. Sorry it sounds complicated but is very natural and easy to do.I just have no experience in writing about exercises.

The reason this exercise is better is because it works both your upper abs and lower abs at he same.

When wanting to lose weight, the important thig is eat healthy (no salty, sweet snacks, lots of fruits and veggies, carbs, etc.), workout your legs (squats, lunges, etc) and walk, walk, walk. You'll find a lot of good tips at www.davedraper.com

I am intrigued! As soon as I can go thirty seconds without my face leaking something, I shall give it a try.
