I doubt I'll ever be pulling as ridiculous a pack of stunts with kites as you thought!
As for the bar (and street, as the bar is named after it's location) name, I reckon it is just an anachronism that has been left to rot. Still, it is quite the anomaly in a society which has seen the ignorant bullying that is the Political Correctness movement.
